Former Chelsea player Ashley Cole has made a successful transition from the pitch to the coaching staff, joining his former teammate Frank Lampard at the club.

Published on October 18, 2019, Cole announced his retirement from professional football at the age of 38 after a 20-year playing career.

With a storied past that includes three Premier League championships, Cole has taken on a role in Chelsea's youth academy as U15s coach, aiming to nurture the next generation of players for Lampard's first team.

Speaking about his new role, Cole emphasized the importance of having top players influence and guide the development of young players, saying, “You have to be a top player to play for Chelsea so they want those top ex-players influencing and trying to help the next generation develop and be better players.”

Throughout his career, Cole played for several top-tier clubs, including Arsenal, LA Galaxy, Roma, and Derby County, and won the Champions League. He hopes to adopt the attributes of his decorated managers into his coaching style.
