On October 18, 2019, the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) suspended the licenses of 11 public transport firms for violating road laws in Kenya.
The firms were accused of failing to comply with the law, specifically section 5 (I) of the regulations.
Some of the affected firms include Teachers Transporters, which operates on routes such as Nairobi-Kiambaa-Naivasha-Nakuru-Nyahururu, and Kitengela minibus, which operates on the Railways-Athi River-Kitengela-Machakos route.
Other firms affected include Smoke City, which operates in Nairobi, Machakos, and Wote areas, and Seven City Sacco, which operates on the Railways-Athi River-Kitengela-Machakos route.
NTSA has warned the public against using the services of these firms until further notice.
Residents are advised to report any suspicious activity to the authorities.
