Wesley Moraes, the 22-year-old Brazilian footballer who plays for Premier League side Aston Villa, has an inspiring story of overcoming adversity to achieve his dreams.
At just 9 years old, Moraes lost his father, but his mother's unwavering support helped him navigate the challenges that followed.
As reported on Sportsbible, quoting Sky Sports, Moraes revealed that he became a father for the first time at 14 and had his second child at 16, making it difficult for him to balance his football career with family responsibilities.
'I had my first child when I was 14 years old. It was difficult because it was during this time that I started to try and play football professionally. I had to work in the day and then go to training in the evening. When I play, I have to think about my family, my kids, my mum, everybody,' Moraes explained.
Despite the odds against him, Moraes persevered and is now a key player for Aston Villa, scoring four goals for the club this season in the Premier League.
His journey is a testament to the power of determination and the importance of family support in achieving one's goals.
