NRG Radio has found itself in hot water after World Marathon record holder Eliud Kipchoge threatened to sue the station for brand infringement.

According to a demand letter issued by Kipchoge's lawyer, Donald Kipkorir, the station had changed its name to Kipchoge.Radio on its social media platforms and online blogs without permission.

NRG Radio responded to the demand with a tweet that has since been deleted, claiming it would respond within 1:59 hours.

However, Kipkorir gave the station a two-hour deadline to address the issue, stating that failure to do so would result in further action.

The demand letter accused NRG Radio of breaching Kipchoge's brand rights and requested that the station remove his name, references, and images from all its platforms, as well as issue an apology.

NRG Radio's actions have sparked a heated debate on social media, with many calling for the station to respect Kipchoge's intellectual property rights.
