The American Chamber of Commerce will host the AmCham Business Summit in Nairobi on November 4th and 5th, 2019.
The summit aims to create a platform for business deals between American firms and Kenyan firms, providing easy access for Kenyan businesses into the American Market and vice versa.
According to Maxwell Okello, CEO of the American Chamber of Commerce, Kenya Chapter, relations between the United States and Kenya have been slow due to a lack of information on businesses and investment opportunities in the two countries.
Okello noted that most American investors are unaware of the immense investment opportunities in Kenya, particularly in sectors such as ICT, banking, tourism, infrastructure, and mining.
To strengthen US and Kenya relations and grow US investment in Kenya, the American Chamber of Commerce has identified sectors like fintech, agri-technology, health, and infrastructure as potential areas for US investment.
