On October 18, 2019, a Nigerian woman's online romance turned sour when she traveled from Calabar to Enugu, a 258.3-kilometer journey, to meet a man she had been chatting with.
However, upon arrival, she was left heartbroken to discover that the man, identified as 12-year-old Kevin, had been deceiving her all along.
The woman, who wished to remain anonymous, had been convinced by Kevin's promises of a future together and had traveled over 4 hours to meet him.
She took to Twitter to express her disappointment and frustration, but her plea for sympathy was met with ridicule and skepticism from some Twitter users.
Kevin's whereabouts are currently unknown, but it is reported that he is being sought by authorities for questioning.
