UEFA has imposed a ticket ban on Ajax Amsterdam fans for their upcoming Champions League match at Chelsea, following crowd trouble in their match at Valencia earlier this month.
On October 18, 2019, UEFA fined Ajax Sh5.8m due to the behaviour of their fans during a 3-0 win at Valencia and an additional Sh2.1m for 'improper conduct of the team.'
According to UEFA, the Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body has decided to ban AFC Ajax from selling tickets to its away supporters for its next UEFA competition match.
Ajax, the Dutch champions, have been given 30 days to contact Valencia and settle damages caused by their supporters at the Mestalla Stadium.
Group H leaders Ajax are set to travel to Stamford Bridge on November 5.
UEFA has also banned Eintracht Frankfurt from selling tickets to their fans for their Europa League trips to Standard Liege on November 7 and Arsenal on November 28.
