On October 18, 2019, businessman Peter Karanja, accused of murdering Tob Cohen, asked the High Court to release him on bail, citing his cooperation with investigators and over 30 days in custody.
According to Karanja's lawyers, he has been extremely cooperative with the investigators, despite being treated inhumanely and without regard to his delicate diabetic condition.
Through his lawyers, Karanja asked the court to release him on bail, arguing that he is willing and able to abide by any terms and conditions that the court may impose.
The body of Dutch tycoon and top golfer Tob Cohen was found in a septic tank in his home in Kitisuru, after disappearing on July 19, 2019.
Cohen's sister expressed her concerns about his disappearance, stating, 'I'M ASKING FOR HELP. LET HIM APPEAR. WHERE IS MY BROTHER? IT DOESN'T ADD UP. IT'S NOT POSSIBLE.'
Earlier, the High Court granted Sarah Cohen Sh 2 million cash bail for the same offence, just a week prior to Karanja's bail application.
