Published on October 17, 2019, Qatar Airways is set to increase its flights between Mombasa and Doha in December, marking a significant boost to the coastal city's air travel options.

The Middle East carrier, which operates three daily flights to Nairobi's Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, will fly to Mombasa five times a week, up from four. The additional flight will run from December 20 to March 27.

Qatar Airways' Group Chief Executive, Akbar Al Baker, said the increase in frequency will allow passengers to enjoy the wonders of Mombasa and locals to enjoy the airline's extensive global network of over 160 destinations.

The airline will deploy an Airbus A320 on the Mombasa route for the additional flight, which will feature 12 business class seats and 120 seats in economy class. The flight will depart Doha at 02:30hrs, arrive in Mombasa at 08:40hrs, and leave Mombasa at 16:50hrs to arrive in Doha at 23:05hrs.

Mr. Al Baker also stated that the increase in flights will allow for further growth and strengthen the bonds between the State of Qatar and Kenya.
