On October 15, Sarah Wairimu filed a court case against DCI George Kinoti, alleging that he had violated a court order.
According to K24, Kinoti claimed that he was out of the country at the time of the incident and had not received a letter stating that he was being charged with violating a court order.
However, in a letter to Wairimu's lawyer, Philip Murgor, Kinoti instructed Murgor to inform Kipkorir that he was being summoned to appear in court.
On October 15, Sarah Wairimu asked the court to have Kinoti, journalist John Kamau, and state prosecutor Juma Victor Owiti held in contempt of court for violating a court order.
Wairimu alleged that Kinoti had been instructed by the court on September 16 to refrain from releasing any information related to the investigation into the murder of Tob Cohen.
She also accused Kinoti of mishandling her husband's property and attempting to transfer it to her family.
The case against Cohen's murder is set to begin on October 30.
