On October 17, 2019, tensions ran high in the Isiolo Assembly Chamber as MCAs clashed over the fate of minority leader Ali Dima.

During a heated debate on the Punguza Mizigo bill, nominated MCA Ajira Abdi called for Dima's impeachment, accusing him of occupying the seat illegally for two years and not representing his constituents.

Dima fired back, claiming that Speaker Hussain Golicha Roba had planned his ouster due to his strict stance on the expenditure report and his demand for a copy of the document.

The exchange of harsh words between Dima and the Speaker led to a heated argument, with the Speaker eventually ordering Dima to be thrown out of the Chamber.

As Dima was escorted out, Sericho MCA Nura Diba accused the Speaker of failing to issue order papers 24 hours prior to the House sitting, a claim the Speaker denied.

The Speaker promised to make a ruling on Dima's fate on Thursday, but maintained that the House had no minority leader.
