On October 16, 2019, Airtel Kenya subscribers faced a major disruption to their mobile services, with many unable to access voice, data, and SMS services.
The company acknowledged the issue and assured subscribers that it was working to restore services.
After a 24-hour outage, Airtel Kenya informed its subscribers that the technical hitch had been resolved.
"We are pleased to inform you that the network issue has been resolved and services restored. Thank you for your patience," the company said in a statement.
