Published on October 17, 2019, this article highlights the difficulties faced by rich kids in Kenya.

Being a scion of a wealthy family comes with its own set of challenges. Rich kids often live under the shadow of their parents and face intense media scrutiny.

They are constantly trolled online for their dress code, relationships, and even their parents' mistakes. Critics expect them to be perfect and always be on top of fashion trends.

For instance, Saumu Mbuvi has been trolled for her imperfect relationships, while Ngina Kenyatta has faced criticism for her social media presence.

Rich kids also struggle with social media, as they are often forced to keep their accounts private and limit their online activity to avoid further scrutiny.

Additionally, they are expected to be cultured and refined at all times, avoiding any behavior that might be perceived as uncouth or unbecoming.

These challenges make being a rich kid in Kenya a difficult and often thankless task.
