Ugandan musician Eddy Kenzo has expressed disappointment over the lack of recognition from the Ugandan government for his contributions to the country's music industry.

Released in 2015, his song 'Sitya Loss' became one of the biggest hits from East Africa, putting Uganda on the international music map.

The song's success also led to the Ghetto Kids, a group of children featured in the song, receiving various awards and even collaborating with international artists like French Montana.

However, despite his success, Kenzo has not received any recognition or reward from the Ugandan government, leading him to cry out for help.

'Where are you? I have never received anything from the Uganda government. I struggled, I hustled, I created what I created with sleepless nights. I won a BET the first-ever international choice viewers award and nothing,' Kenzo lamented.

Kenzo's plea comes as a surprise, given his international success and the impact his music has had on the Ugandan music industry.
