On October 17, 2019, Sarah Wairimu Cohen, the widow of Tob Cohen, resurfaced at the Milimani law courts, determined to fight for her rights.
She had gone to file a lawsuit against DCI George Kinoti for contempt of court, seeking to have him jailed for six months.
According to Sarah, Kinoti had published content on the case that attracted uninformed opinions, online prosecution, and unverified theories against her, despite a court order issued by Judge Lesiit barring the DCI, DPP, and media from publishing such content.
However, in a letter to Sarah's lawyer, Philip Murgor, Kinoti denied the allegations, stating that he was not in receipt of any lawsuits against him and that he had only read about the allegations on social media.
