Manchester United's injury crisis has deepened ahead of their Premier League clash with Liverpool, with David de Gea and Paul Pogba both ruled out.
De Gea suffered an injury in Spain's Euro 2020 qualifying match against Sweden on Tuesday, and will undergo scans to determine the extent of the damage.
He was forced to come off as a substitute in the 1-1 draw, and will not be fit for the weekend's match against Liverpool.
Pogba, who has been struggling with an ankle injury, was in a race to get fit for the derby, but will also miss the match.
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said: "David needs a scan. I think he'll be out. It certainly looked like it anyway judging on last night," adding: "Paul had a scan after the Arsenal game. Hopefully he won't be too long, but he won't make this game, no."
The injuries to de Gea and Pogba come as a huge blow to Solskjaer, who has a crisis on his hands at Old Trafford.
Manchester United currently have 10 players out injured, including Anthony Martial, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, and Jesse Lingard.
De Gea's injury is the latest set-back for the team, and Sergio Romero will fill his shoes on Sunday.
Ahead of the derby, Juan Mata said: "We have a great chance to change the dynamic and we are all very motivated to take the win. We are United, we are playing at home and we will give everything to be able to take the victory that our fans deserve."
