Manchester United's Premier League match against Liverpool on Sunday, October 20, at Old Trafford, has taken a significant hit with the news that Paul Pogba and David De Gea will not be part of the squad.
According to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Pogba failed to recover from an ankle problem he sustained during the Manchester United vs Arsenal match in September. Solskjaer revealed that Pogba had a scan after the game and needed a few weeks' rest in a boot, but unfortunately, he won't make it to the Liverpool game.
De Gea, on the other hand, suffered an injury in Spain's Euro 2020 qualifiers against Sweden and could be out for two months. He was immediately replaced by Chelsea's Kepa Arrizabalaga, and he will now hand over the United jersey to Argentine Sergio Romero against Liverpool.
With Liverpool yet to drop points this season in the Premier League and Manchester United having only won two encounters, a defeat for the Red Devils could end Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's reign at the club.
