On October 17, 2019, Britam General Insurance announced the appointment of Jackson Theuri as its Chief Executive Officer in an acting capacity, following the abrupt resignation of Margaret Kathanga.

Margaret, who had been at the General Insurance segment's top for thirteen years, left to pursue personal interests, according to a statement from the company.

Before his appointment, Jackson Theuri served as the company's chief operating officer.

Britam Holdings is a diversified financial services group listed on the Nairobi Securities Exchange, offering a wide range of financial products and services in insurance, asset management, property, and banking.

The group has a presence in seven African countries, including Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, South Sudan, Mozambique, and Malawi.
