On October 16, 2019, Tony Gachoka, a prominent Kenyan television show host, was arrested at Diani Airstrip in Kwale County.
According to Nehemiah Bitok, the Msambweni OCPD, Gachoka was barred from boarding a Silverstone Air flight to Nairobi due to the presence of alcoholic beverages, which violates the airline's rules and regulations.
Gachoka, a 50-year-old political activist with strong connections in the country, will spend the night in police custody and is expected to be arraigned in Kwale on October 17, 2019, to answer to charges of causing disturbance.
As the host and producer of Point Blank on KTN, Gachoka's recorded show featuring former Mukurweini MP Kabando wa Kabando was set to air on the night of his arrest.
