On October 17, 2019, a tragic incident occurred in Ganda, Malindi, resulting in the death of 48-year-old Ngumabo Jola. The incident involved Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa and her aide Ouko Otieno.

A video footage has been released, showing the events leading up to the shooting. The footage shows Aisha Jumwa engaging in a tense conversation with angry youths, while police attempted to calm the situation.

At one point, Aisha Jumwa was involved in a spat with a woman and was also threatened by a man clad in white. The angry crowd then threw soil at her, but she was whisked away by the police.

After failing to calm down the situation, the police left the scene, and it was then that someone from Aisha Jumwa's camp opened fire, killing Mr. Jola.

Yesterday, Aisha Jumwa and her aide Ouko Otieno were arraigned in court and charged with murder. They are set to appear in court today, after spending a night in jail.
