Blind gospel singer Denno's rise to fame was short-lived, with his hit song Mbona featuring Daddy Owen making headlines in 2018.

However, Denno's music career took a downturn after the birth of his daughter, with many assuming he was busy raising his child and caring for his family.

But according to gospel singer Bahati, Denno's absence from the music scene was due to financial constraints.

"Unfortunately the last three years have not been the best to our brother. As you know our country, one hit song is not enough to put food on the table. His biggest challenge being finances," Bahati explained in an Instagram post.

Bahati also revealed that music proved to be a very expensive career for Denno, with expensive marketing and lack of shows making it difficult for him to sustain himself.

"Expensive marketing, lack of shows etc. I know this is not the best place to share this and Denno will testify another day. The Day Denno Shared with me I felt like I should do something," Bahati added.

Denno's comeback to the music scene is expected, with Bahati partnering with him in a song dubbed Bado.
