On October 17, 2019, Starehe MP Charles Njagua, alias Jaguar, found himself at the receiving end of online mockery after making a misleading statement about Nairobi's capital city.
During a press conference at his Nairobi office, Jaguar slipped up and said that Nairobi is the capital city of Nairobi, sparking widespread ridicule and criticism from online armies.
Some social media users referenced his Kigeu geu hit song, in which he criticized politicians who made empty promises, only to deliver little in office.
Jaguar rose to prominence after winning the Starehe parliamentary seat, but his tenure has been marred by controversy, including an incident where he assaulted and insulted Embakasi's Babu Owino.
