On October 17, 2019, Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko returned to Kenya after a trip abroad, only to find chaos at City Hall.
According to reports, ousted speaker Beatrice Elachi had made an unwelcome return, sparking the chaos.
Governor Sonko took to his official Facebook page to address the situation, saying he was neither God nor a superhuman to predict what would happen in his absence.
”To my beloved critics whom I love and who think that I could have made a difference if I was around during the skirmishes at the county assembly, mimi sio Mungu ama malaika kujua what will happen while I’m away,” he wrote.
Despite being out of the country, Governor Sonko had been keeping his fans entertained with videos and pictures of his fun-filled trip.
