October 17, 2019, marked a day that could have been Kamene Goro's third wedding anniversary. However, the radio personality dodged a bullet by not marrying her tycoon fiancé.
Speaking on the phenomenon of 'wives and their mother-in-laws,' Kamene recalled her experience with her former mother-in-law, who subjected her to constant pressure and manipulation.
'I was living in my house under constant pressure. Am I making him happy? And even worse, was I making him happy by her standards?' Kamene said during 'The Morning Kiss' show with cohost Andrew Kibe.
Her mother-in-law's behavior was not limited to mere pressure; she went as far as using juju to prevent Kamene from getting pregnant. The mother-in-law even requested the watchman to inform her when Kamene left the house so she could send a house girl to put charm under the bed to make Kamene's husband hate her.
Kamene, who had previously opened up about being suicidal due to her cheating ex-husband, said she was relieved to have dodged the marriage. 'I would have been miserable today, in Tanzania with a lot of money, but miserable and not able to live my dream,' she said.
