A network outage affecting call and messaging services hit Airtel Kenya subscribers for the better part of Wednesday, October 16, 2019.
The telecommunications services provider confirmed the network outage, attributing it to a technical hitch.
"We are currently experiencing technical challenges with our network. Due to this, calls and SMS messages will be intermittent. However, Data services are available. We are working to resolve this on priority and we shall keep you updated," the company said in a statement.
Subscribers took to social media to express their frustration over the inconvenience caused by the network outage.
