Moosa Nsubuga, a Londoner and Muslim convert, has found a new sense of purpose in his faith, Islam. He believes it has given him a strong personal connection to charity and helping the less privileged in society.
After the Grenfell fire in 2017, Nsubuga and his friends gave out extra donations to those who lost their belongings in the inferno. This experience led him to realize that the donations they were giving were of poor quality, and he decided to give better donations to the needy.
He launched a project called Resole, which aims to provide high-quality trainers to at-risk teenagers and the homeless. With Resole, Nsubuga and his team distribute new trainers to those in need, including designer brands such as Gucci and top-quality Adidas and Nike.
On average, Resole donates between 150 and 200 pairs of quality trainers monthly, worth approximately KSh 1.9 million. Nsubuga's charitable efforts have made a significant impact in the community, and he continues to inspire others to give back.
