A disturbing incident has been reported in Voi, Taita Taveta County, where a 23-year-old father allegedly assaulted his four-month-old son.
According to Citizen Digital, the father committed the act when his mother was away at the market.
The infant is currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Voi, while investigations into the matter continue.
The suspect was released on a KSh 20,000 bond or KSh 50,000 cash bail and is expected to appear in court again on October 31, 2019.
