Former England international Michael Owen believes Liverpool's blistering form will give Manchester United a run for their money when the two Premier League giants clash at Old Trafford on Sunday, October 20.
As reported, Liverpool are currently enjoying a fine run of form, having lost no matches in eight of the new Premier League fixtures. They sit atop the standings with an impressive 24 points, eight clear of second-placed Manchester City.
Manchester United, on the other hand, have had a disastrous start to their campaign, garnering just nine points in eight matches played. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has led the Red Devils to one of their worst starts to a Premier League campaign in 30 years.
Despite this, United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes the encounter has come at the perfect time, saying, "That’s a perfect game for us."
However, Owen, who has played for both Liverpool and Manchester United, disagrees, stating, "Jurgen Klopp’s side have ridden their luck in recent weeks, but I expect them to have too much pace and aggression for this United side."
