Chelsea's Olivier Giroud has been open about his frustrations with limited playing time under manager Frank Lampard.
As of this season, Giroud has made only five appearances for the club, with Tammy Abraham emerging as Lampard's preferred striker.
On October 16, 2019, Giroud admitted that he could leave Chelsea if he does not get enough game time from Lampard.
"I'm going to fight for my place at Chelsea and we will take stock of the situation in January," Giroud said in an interview.
He added, "If you ask me whether I want to leave I'll say 'not necessarily' – but other things enter the equation. But if they force me to make a decision I will do it – just like when I left Arsenal."
Giroud has been linked to MLS side Vancouver Whitecaps and Serie A giants Inter Milan, and has continued to perform well for France, scoring his 38th international goal in a Euro 2020 qualifier against Turkey.
