Radio presenter Kamene Goro has spoken out about her harrowing past marriage experience, which ended in a WhatsApp breakup.
According to Kamene, her Tanzanian mother-in-law was a major source of frustration in her marriage, constantly putting pressure on her to meet her standards.
'He broke up with me via WhatsApp. He couldn’t even spend his money to break up with me,' Kamene said on Kiss FM.
Speaking on 'The Morning Kiss', Kamene revealed that her mother-in-law would send food to their home, not because she wanted to help, but because she didn't want her son to eat Kamene's cooking.
'She used to hate me. So she would send in food to the house because she did not want him to eat my ‘bad’ food,' Kamene said.
Things took a turn for the worse when Kamene's mother-in-law started calling the house girls and instructing them on how to cook for her son.
'I was a young frustrated bride. She even went to the extent of calling the watchman and requested him to be told when I leave the house,' Kamene said.
This year would have marked Kamene's third wedding anniversary, but she's grateful to have dodged the bullet.
'I was to get married on this day three years ago but I dodged the bullet. I would have been miserable today,' Kamene said.
