The history between Ireland and New Zealand in rugby is a long and complex one, with the two teams having met only once at the Rugby World Cup, a game the All Blacks won in 1995.
However, the Irish have had success against the All Blacks in recent years, ending a 111-year wait for a victory against New Zealand in 2016 when they turned them over on neutral territory in Chicago.
Jonah Lomu, the legendary All Black winger, announced himself on the world rugby stage in their first meeting in 1995, running in two tries and setting up another as the Irish were powerless in the face of his devastating carries.
But the Irish were not to be underestimated, and they went on to record a first-ever home win against the All Blacks in 2018, with winger Jacob Stockdale chipping and collecting his own kick before racing to the line for a 16-6 lead.
The teams have had a series of intense matches, with the All Blacks squaring it 1-1 with a 21-9 win in Dublin in 2016, and the Irish holding firm despite waves of All Black pressure to seal a historic 40-29 win in Chicago.
