Church Bus Impounded for Transporting Bhang in Coast Region

On Tuesday, 15 October, police in Coast Region made a significant bust when they impounded a Church bus belonging to the Pentecostal Evangelistic Fellowship Assemblies (PEFA) that was transporting bhang.

According to police, the bhang had been disguised in sacks containing Omena, a type of fish.

During the operation, the Church bus driver and two others on board were taken into custody as police launched investigations into the matter.

Police also seized a lorry transporting 136 kg of bhang valued at Ksh2.8 million from Moyale on 12 October, and a Boda Boda rider was arrested along the Bungoma-Kakamega Highway for strapping bhang on his body to disguise his illegal merchandise.
