On October 24, 2018, Cuba Gooding Jr. allegedly pinched a woman's buttocks at the Tao Downtown nightclub on Ninth Avenue. According to the indictment, when the woman confronted him, he claimed he had pinched her back.

Prosecutors also described the recollections of 12 other women who say Gooding touched intimate parts of their bodies without their consent. These incidents took place at bars in several cities from 2007 to 2011.

One woman alleged that in 2007, Gooding called her and her friends to his table at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas and tried to kiss her. She said she pushed him away, but he was able to lick her face and grab her backside.

Another woman claimed that in 2011, Gooding grabbed her arm at a Los Angeles bar, put his hand inside her blouse, and squeezed her bare breast. He allegedly said, “sit on my face, pee in my mouth.”

The maximum penalty for the top charge, forcible touching, is a year in jail.
