Miguna Miguna's Tweet Sparks Outrage

Lawyer Miguna Miguna has found himself at the center of a storm on social media after he tweeted that Eliud Kipchoge's historic achievement in the INEOS 1:59 Challenge is not worthy of celebration.

According to Miguna, Kenyans should be celebrating scholars and Nobel laureates, not athletes. He made the remarks on his Twitter page on October 14, 2019, saying, "2019 when the world celebrates Nobel laureates in physics, business, medicine, peace, and other fields, Kenyans celebrate athletes. Athletes cannot help win wars,"

However, his tweet did not go down well with many Kenyans, who took to social media to express their outrage and disappointment. Many of them felt that Miguna's tweet was a slap in the face to Kipchoge, who had just made history by running 42 kilometers in under two hours.

"Wanariadha wanailetea nchi sifa nyingi kote duniani, kando ya kuingunisha nchi wakati wa mzozo," Nana Muigai tweeted in response to Miguna's remarks.

Others also took to social media to express their disappointment and outrage, with some calling for Miguna to apologize for his tweet.

It is worth noting that Miguna has been at the center of controversy in the past, and his tweet has sparked a heated debate on social media.

As the debate continues, one thing is clear: Miguna's tweet has sparked a lot of outrage and disappointment among Kenyans.
