Former Bachelorette contestant Mike Johnson has made a change in his approach to public romance. In a recent interview with Us Weekly, he revealed that he's done dating in the public eye, at least for now.
Johnson's decision comes after a high-profile romance with singer Demi Lovato. During his season on The Bachelorette, Lovato cheered him on as he competed for Hannah Brown's heart. The two eventually went on a date in Los Angeles, and Johnson even revealed on a podcast that Lovato was a good kisser.
However, in the Us Weekly interview, Johnson took a different tone. He stated that he wants to 'keep it 100 percent' to himself going forward, and that he's learning from his past mistakes.
Johnson also mentioned that his mother found out 'certain things' through the media, but didn't specify what he meant. When asked about his current relationship status with Lovato, Johnson gave a non-answer, but confirmed that he's on good terms with her.
Interestingly, Johnson's statement about keeping his relationships private comes after he asked out actress Keke Palmer on national television during a recent episode of Strahan, Sara & Keke.
