As Kenya grapples with a stagnant government, skyrocketing unemployment, and a lack of opposition, Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo has taken aim at Kenyan voters, accusing them of making poor choices.

Speaking on NTV's morning show, Amollo emphasized that voters who supported Uhuru in 2017 should accept the consequences of their decision and stop complaining.

According to Amollo, voters who chose Jubilee should be proud of their choice, as it has led to the current state of affairs, including the rise in public debt and corruption.

Amollo was discussing the impact of the handshake between the government and opposition, which he believes has led to a lack of effective opposition and criticism of the government's actions.

As of July 2019, Kenya's unemployment rate stood at 9.31%, while corruption index stood at 23%, as reported by Trade Economics.

"All the people who voted Jubilee should celebrate what they voted for. When you see Sonko partying and dancing abroad, that's what you voted for. When the public debt rises, that's what you voted for," Amollo said.
