On a night marred by racist abuse from Bulgarian fans, Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 700th career goal in a 2-1 defeat for Portugal against Ukraine, securing the visitors' place in Euro 2020 with a match to spare.
Ukraine, led by the unbeaten Andriy Shevchenko, join Poland, Russia, Italy, and Belgium in the multi-host tournament, which kicks off in Rome on June 12.

England's manager, Gareth Southgate, said, 'We know it is an unacceptable situation. I think we've managed to make two statements really by winning the game, but also we have raised the awareness of everybody to the situation.'
