Former radio presenter Angela Angwenyi has lost her house to auctioneers, with the apartment at Jacaranda Gardens estate in Nairobi set to be sold after she ran into financial difficulties.
On October 14, 2019, Garam Auctioneers placed a newspaper advertisement announcing that the apartment was up for auction.
According to the notice, the apartment is located at Jacaranda estate along R&M Road, just after the Northern bypass.
Angwenyi and a firm associated with her won a Sh302 million consultancy job, which led to her involvement in the National Youth Service scandal.
Her bank accounts were frozen in 2018 as part of the ongoing investigations into the scandal, with 115 other accounts frozen in 14 banks for a period of three months.
Angwenyi was previously quizzed by Parliament's Public Accounts Committee in 2016 over the consultancy contract, which was questioned by Auditor General Edward Ouko in a special audit report.
