On October 15, 2019, a devastating fire broke out in a house in Nairobi's Kariobangi South area, claiming the lives of three people and injuring four others.
The victims included a minor and two children, who were sleeping in the house when the fire started.
According to neighbours, the fire might have been caused by a candle, as the area had experienced a power blackout that night and residents were using candles for light.
Those injured were rushed to the hospital, while the minor died on the way to the hospital and the other two bodies were recovered from the house by firefighters.
