Three Killed, Four Injured in Nairobi Blaze ¶
On October 15, 2019, a devastating fire swept through a slum in Kariobangi South, Nairobi, claiming the lives of three people and leaving four others seriously injured.
According to eyewitnesses, there was a power outage in the area, prompting residents to use candles and lanterns for lighting, which they believe may have contributed to the fire.
Philip Ndolo, the Nairobi Police Commander, confirmed that a team of investigators had been dispatched to the scene to determine the cause of the blaze.
Firefighters from the Nairobi County Government arrived at the scene shortly after the fire had been extinguished, and the bodies of the three victims were handed over to the morgue, while the injured were taken to Buruburu Hospital for treatment.
