October 15, 2019, marked a significant milestone in the life of award-winning gospel singer Peterson Githinji, popularly known as Pitson. The singer, known for his hit song 'Lingala ya Yesu,' had been struggling with a damaged voice after doctors advised him to stop singing for at least two months.

According to Pitson, doctors had detected a nodule (growth of abnormal tissues) stuck in his vocal cords for three months. The singer took to social media to share pictures of the nodule and thanked the medical team at Nairobi Hospital for their assistance.

Pitson expressed his gratitude to the medical team, saying, "This is the microscopic nodule that had stuck in my vocal cord for 3 months. By the grace of God, doctors were able to get it out. Glory to God! Special thanks to #nairobihospital Dr.wahome (Operating doctor) Dr. Gakuo (consulting Anesthesiologist) Dr. Carol Mwai Doctor In charge of post hospital recovery.
