On October 12, 2019, Travis Scott performed at the Rolling Loud music festival in Queens, New York, at Citi Field, a venue that was previously used by the Mets.
During his set, Scott jumped into the air and landed hard on his right leg, causing a gruesome knee injury.
Despite the injury, Scott continued to perform, finishing his set and remaining on stage with a makeshift knee brace made out of tape.
Scott addressed the crowd, saying, 'I ain't gon' lie, I think I just, like, broke my knee just now. This show cannot stop. So middle fingers to the sky. Lets rage.'
Experts suggest that a lack of warm-up may have contributed to Scott's injury, as long music sets can be intense workouts that require proper preparation.
Dr. Stephen Nicholas, founder and director of New York Orthopedics, advised, 'The most important thing you can do for your knees is give yourself an appropriate warm up period.'
