On October 14, 2019, Oscar Sudi, the MP for Kapseret, publicly criticized Francis Atwoli, the Secretary-General of the Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU), for allegedly exploiting young women.

Speaking at a friend's wedding, Sudi claimed that Atwoli has a history of exploiting young women, some of whom are even younger than his granddaughters.

'Atwoli should stop this behavior of exploiting young women. I say this because I respect him as my elder, but this is a bad habit for someone of his age to have,' Sudi said.

Sudi further alleged that Atwoli uses the money he has embezzled to exploit young women, particularly those who are underage.

'Atwoli is a major corrupter and embezzler. He has bribed many of his MPs, and he uses the money he has stolen from government agencies, including the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) and the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF),' Sudi added.
