On Friday, Nairobi City Stars continued their impressive run in the National Super League (NSL) with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over APS Bomet.
Speaking to Citizen Digital, City Stars coach Sanjin Alagic praised his team's fighting spirit, saying they deserved to win.
“At the end, we walked away with very important 3 points, the players showed good character to push for victory in the dying minutes. I'm really proud of them,” he said.
City Stars are now six points ahead of second-placed Bidco, who have 16 points after eight rounds of matches.
Meanwhile, in the NSL, debutants Northern Wanderers suffered another defeat, losing 2-0 to Modern Coast Rangers.
Elsewhere, Vihiga Bullets and Shabana shared the spoils in a barren stalemate at the Bukhungu Stadium.
