Speaking during a visit to Jubaland, where he witnessed the inauguration of Ahmed Madobe for a second term in office, Duale called on the federal government and regional leaders to prioritize the interests of the Somali people.
He noted that the federal government would gain more by engaging in peace-building with the Jubaland administration, adding that unity among Jubaland politicians was crucial for improving the livelihoods of the people.
As the Garissa Township MP, Duale reiterated Kenya's commitment to regional stability and its support for Somalia in the face of terror threats.
He emphasized the need for enhanced ties between Kenya and Jubaland, citing their shared 800km border and the importance of a coordinated governance system for the entire nation.
Kenya, Duale said, aspires to support the dreams of the Somali people in entrenching a vibrant democratic system and navigating international relations.
He reassured the people of Somalia that Kenya would remain a faithful friend and partner in security and social-economic development.
Madobe's inauguration had been contested, with his challengers and the federal government accusing him of interfering with the polls.
