Published on October 14, 2019, a lobby group, Political Justice Movement, has raised concerns over the credibility of the Kibra by-elections by exposing a scandalous voter register.
The group claims that over 10,000 voters from outside Kibra have been illegally inserted into the Kibra voter register, while another 19,000 legitimate voters have been deleted.
According to the movement's Director, Cidi Otieno, this is a plot to interfere with the credibility of the forthcoming Kibra by-elections.
Contrary to the IEBC's earlier statement that only 333 people were added to the register, the lobby group's claims have put the electoral body on the spot.
