Huddah Monroe, a Kenyan socialite and businesswoman, had a birthday to forget after she was arrested for drunk driving on October 12, 2019.
According to her Instagram post, Monroe was arrested at 4 am and taken to the Gigiri Police station, where she claimed the police were 'bandits' for arresting her.
However, in a later post, Monroe took responsibility for her actions and apologized for endangering her life and others.
'My birthday was filled with love, but the after-party was at the Gigiri Police station for drunk driving. Shame on me,' she wrote.
Monroe spent hours at the police station with other drunk drivers, where they sobered up before being released.
