NRG Radio's Tribute to Eliud Kipchoge

NRG Radio, a popular youth-focused radio station in Kenya, has taken a bold step to honor Eliud Kipchoge's incredible achievement in breaking the marathon world record. The station has rebranded itself as 'Kipchoge Radio' for a week, starting from October 14, 2019, to celebrate the athlete's remarkable feat.

According to a press release from NRG Radio, the rebranding is a testament to the station's commitment to inspiring and empowering the youth. The station's Group Managing Director, Kevin Mulei, expressed his pride in the station's ability to adapt and change with the times, saying, 'NRG had no doubt that Eliud was going to break the record and as such prepared its new Kipchoge radio imaging ahead of time for all systems go in celebration of his milestone.'

The rebranding comes just a week after Safaricom, a leading corporate brand in Kenya, rebranded its M-Pesa service to honor Eliud Kipchoge's achievement. The move is seen as a testament to the athlete's impact on the nation and the world at large.

As NRG Radio continues to celebrate Eliud Kipchoge's achievement, the station's rebranding serves as a reminder of the power of inspiration and the impact that one person can have on the world.
