Eliud Kipchoge Sets New World Record in Vienna Marathon

On a historic day in Vienna, Kenyan athlete Eliud Kipchoge set a new world record in the marathon, completing the 42-kilometer course in 1 hour, 59 minutes, and 40 seconds. This achievement broke his own record set in Berlin in 2018, where he ran the marathon in 2 hours, 1 minute, and 39 seconds.

As Kipchoge celebrated his victory, he coined the phrase 'no human is limited,' emphasizing the importance of determination and focus in achieving one's goals. This triumph not only brought pride to Kipchoge and Kenya but also served as a powerful reminder of the value of perseverance and hard work.

As we reflect on Kipchoge's remarkable achievement, it is essential to understand the nuances of the English language, particularly the prefix 'in.' While it often conveys negation, as seen in words like 'incorrect' and 'incompatible,' it can also have positive connotations, as in the case of 'invaluable' and 'incredible.'

Interestingly, the word 'invaluable' does not mean something without value but rather something of such great worth that its value cannot be quantified. This is because the prefix 'in' combines with the verb 'value' and suffix 'able' to convey the idea of something whose value cannot be calculated.
