On Sunday, October 13, 2019, a tragic incident occurred in Kibra during the by-election campaigns. A middle-aged man lost his life after falling from a moving vehicle.
According to eyewitnesses, the victim was hanging onto a Toyota Prado as it sped away from the Kibra DC ground, where ODM leaders had converged to campaign for their candidate Imran Okoth. Unfortunately, he fell off and was run over by other speeding vehicles in the convoy outside Yaya Centre.
Nairobi County Police Commander Philip Ndolo confirmed the incident, stating that the man died instantly.
The body of the deceased was taken to the City Mortuary for further investigation.
